Russell Langdown, Head of School at Lawn Manor Academy, said; “Today, we celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 pupils as they receive their GCSE results, as well as Year 10 pupils who undertook their GCSE in Physics one year early. These outcomes are a testament not only to their academic ability but to their extraordinary resilience, determination, and adaptability in the face of unprecedented challenges.
“The impact of the Covid-19 pandemic continues to be felt across education. This cohort experienced significant disruption to their education during their formative years, however despite these obstacles, our pupils have shown commendable perseverance and maturity, and we are incredibly proud of them.
“Our results this year reflect a broad spectrum of success, with many pupils achieving outstanding grades across a wide range of subjects, from Further Maths to Bengali and Polish! I am delighted that these results ensure pupils secure places in sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeships, and training programmes. Beyond the numerical outcomes, these results represent personal triumphs and the culmination of years of hard work, supported by dedicated staff and families.
“I would like to extend heartfelt thanks to our teaching and support staff; their professionalism, care and commitment has made a profound difference in the lives of our pupils.
“Most importantly I would like to congratulate our pupils. Their journey has been anything but ordinary, and their achievements are more impressive because of it. We hope they take pride in what they’ve accomplished, and we look forward with optimism to all that the future holds for each of them. Congratulations year 11!”
