I recently competed at the British Wingsuit Performance Championships at Skydive Hibaldstow, where I became the 2026 British Wingsuit Champion and came away from the competition with three medals.
I compete in performance wingsuiting, which is a competitive form of skydiving where we are measured across three disciplines: speed, distance and time. We exit the aircraft at around 10,500ft and use GPS equipment to record our performance while flying a wingsuit, before deploying our parachutes.
I’ve been involved in skydiving and wingsuit flying for a number of years, but becoming British Champion is by far one of my proudest achievements. A huge amount of training, travelling and preparation goes into the sport, so winning the overall championship meant a great deal to me.
The result has also qualified me to represent Great Britain at the FAI Wingsuit Flying World Cup and European Championships in Brazil in 2027, where I’ll be competing against some of the best wingsuit pilots from around the world.
Wingsuit performance flying is still a relatively unknown sport outside of the skydiving community, so I’d love the opportunity to share a little more about the sport, what it takes to compete at this level and my journey from getting into skydiving to becoming British Champion and representing Team GB.
