Join us for a special ‘Day in the Life’ Trail and FREE ENTRY to celebrate Heritage Open Days 2026 on Friday 11 September!
Heritage Open Days is England’s largest festival of history and culture, involving thousands of local volunteers and organisations. Every year in September it brings people together to celebrate their heritage, community and history.
We’re excited for this year’s theme of ‘Everyday Histories’ so we’re giving you a chance to explore the everyday lives of WW2 soldiers through their very own diaries, offering a glimpse into what it was like and how they kept the Army moving.
Will you join us and make history part of your everyday?
