Marlborough’s Survivor charity shop launches January sale

Marlborough’s fashion lovers can enjoy fantastic savings and support Society Without Abuse’s mission to reduce the prevalence and impact of domestic abuse on men, women and children by visiting the Survivor charity shop’s 50% off January sale.

The Survivor shop in Hughenden Yard specialises in high quality labels and has recently expanded to offer menswear as well as womenswear, accessories, jewellery and shoes. All money raised from the shop goes directly to Society Without Abuse’s (SWA) expert services that have been designed to help victims, including men and children, to address and recover from the trauma of what they’ve experienced.

The charity also delivers a number of programmes to prevent domestic abuse happening in the future through working with schools and colleges to educate children and young people on spotting the red flags of abuse, as well as working one-to-one with those who are responsible for harmful behaviours.

Kate Rowland, CEO of SWA, said: “The Survivor shop in Marlborough has such a wonderful collection of premium labels, vintage gems and timeless pieces. The 50% off sale runs for two weeks and is a great chance for shoppers to add to their wardrobes while making a real difference in the lives of people affected by domestic abuse.

“Due to demand, we recently added menswear to the shop too, bringing the same quality, style, and great-value finds.

“Every purchase directly supports SWA and brings us that little bit closer to one day seeing an end to domestic abuse. With one in four people experiencing domestic abuse in their lifetime and the fact that domestic abuse doesn’t discriminate according to age, gender or background, we all need to come together in any way we can to say enough is enough.”

The Survivor shop in Hughenden Yard, Marlborough is open from Monday to Saturday, 10am until 4pm. The 50% off sale ends on Saturday 7th February.

If you need advice for yourself or a friend relating to domestic abuse, call Swindon’s domestic abuse helpline on 01793 610610.
