Fairford Steam Show is back!

The Fairford Steam Classic & Retro Show (aka Fairford Steam Show) is back over the weekend of 19th and 20th August after an absence of nearly 10 years.

The organising Steam Team are excited to be showcasing this unique and much-loved event in a new venue at Lady Lamb Farm, Fairford GL7 5LH just off the Fairford to Marston Meysey road with ample parking in the field opposite.

The new venue has enough space for all the many exhibits, stalls, food and drink stands and a large show arena, which is just as well as entries to take part in this popular event have flooded in.

Steam enthusiasts and lovers of community shows can look forward to steam engines, miniature steam, agricultural vehicles, classic cars and all things retro, motorcycles and vintage cycles, industrial trucks, tractors, commercial vehicles, military vehicles, static displays, traders and auto jumble, a craft tent, local charity stalls, local food and drink and fairground rides.

There will be evening entertainment on Saturday night with Dr Busker offering live music starting at 7pm with food and drink available to purchase.

Get a taster of what to expect over the weekend by coming along to Fairford Market Place for the Steam in the Square free event on Friday 18th August from 5pm-10pm when there will be steam engines outside the Bull Hotel to celebrate the return of this popular community show.

The show, which aims to showcase local businesses what is good about Fairford, is open on Saturday and Sunday from 9am-5pm with profits going to local charities and good causes. Tickets cost £8 for adults (£10 on the gate on the day), £4 for children aged 5-16 and concessions (£5 on the gate on the day), children under 5 are free and family tickets for 2 adults and 2 children aged 5-16 are £20 (£25 on the gate on the day).
