The Amazon team in Swindon has taken part in a host of entertaining activities both on site and off to raise vital funds and awareness for Comic Relief, raising over £2m in support of this year’s Red Nose Day.
Amazon is the official Home of the Red Nose and a proud partner of Comic Relief, a charity dedicated to fighting poverty, injustice, conflict, and the effects of climate change both in the UK and internationally. Founded in 1985 by screenwriter Richard Curtis and comedian Sir Lenny Henry, the charity runs one of the UK’s most beloved annual fundraising campaigns – Red Nose Day.
Employees at the fulfilment centre in Swindon threw themselves into a week of fundraising events, including visiting Seven Fields Primary School to design red noses with students, all with the goal of supporting Comic Relief’s ongoing work.
Reflecting on the team’s efforts, David Tindal, General Manager of Amazon in Swindon, said: “Our team puts a lot of heart into everything we do, and supporting Comic Relief is no different. From getting Red Noses out to our customers to joining in with the fun here on site, it was a brilliant week – and all for an incredibly worthy cause.”
Millie Grimmett, an Amazon employee in Swindon who participated in the week’s events, commented: “There’s nothing quite like bringing the whole team together for a good cause – and Red Nose Day always delivers on that front. Whether it was chatting with pupils, designing red noses together, getting covered in glitter or everything in between, we gave it our all and had a brilliant time doing it.”
This year’s new Red Nose collection featured the first-ever Design-Yer Nose, a blank canvas Nose that allowed people to use their imagination and creativity to design a Nose that was uniquely their own whilst spreading humour, kindness, and compassion. The Nose is still available on Amazon, the official Home of the Red Nose.
World-famous artist Mr Doodle also created five doodle Nose designs as part of an exclusive collaboration with Comic Relief, with the Noses available to buy as part of the Red Nose collector pack. Each pack included two surprise Mr Doodle designs, in addition to the classic Red Nose and two Design-Yer Noses. Mr Doodle also designed a limited-edition bucket hat and pin badge in his iconic style, with these must-have items still available to buy on Amazon, with free One-Day Delivery for all customers.
Last year, together with its employees, customers, and partners, Amazon raised over £2.2 million for Comic Relief. Amazon employees up and down the country have been taking themselves funny for money, helping to raise even more money for Red Nose Day 2026.
