Young performers prepare to take to the Wyvern stage in sold-out showcase

Revolution Performing Arts’ 2026 annual theatre showcase has sold out, with 93% of tickets sold within 48 hours.

The sold-out production, Show the World Who You Are!, takes place at Swindon’s Wyvern Theatre on Sunday 5 July and will bring together 161 children and young people from across Swindon and Wiltshire.

Founded in 2007, Revolution Performing Arts works with children and young people through weekly classes, school programmes and holiday activities. Through drama, dance and singing, the organisation helps children build confidence, make friends and express themselves in a supportive environment.

For many families, the annual showcase is the highlight of the year. It gives children the opportunity to perform on a professional stage and celebrate everything they have achieved over the previous 12 months.

For founder Fi Da Silva-Adams, the response from families says a lot about what the showcase means to the children taking part.

“When we released the tickets, I knew people were excited, but I never expected this,” Fi said. “To sell 93% of tickets in two days was incredible. It shows how much our families get behind their children and how much these moments mean to them.”

The showcase is built around the theme Show the World Who You Are!, something Fi says sits at the heart of everything Revolution Performing Arts does.

“We want children to feel seen and heard,” she said. “The title says it all really. Every child who walks onto that stage is different. Some love being in the spotlight, some have spent months building up the confidence to perform in front of an audience.

“The showcase isn’t about being perfect. It’s about giving young people the chance to be themselves and feel proud of who they are.”

Children aged from 4-17 years old from 16 classes across Swindon and Wiltshire will perform in this year’s showcase, including groups from Badbury Park, Croft School, Gorse Hill, Haydon Wick, Lainesmead, Lethbridge, Level Up Soar, Lydiard Millicent, Malmesbury All Stars, Oliver Tomkins, Peatmoor, Rapport Central, Shaw All Stars, Shaw Ridge, Tadpole Farm, Uffington and Wroughton Juniors.

For parents, the showcase is a chance to reflect on how much their children have grown since they first joined Revolution Performing Arts. Kayleigh has watched that journey with her daughter over the past year.

“My daughter is so excited for the next R.P.A Wyvern theatre show. Last year ‘An Ode To Empowerment’ was the first time she had ever performed on a stage. She danced with her school unit but did not feel confident to sing. One year on and our girl is going to be singing and dancing and she is so excited to show the world exactly who she is. The confidence that the RPA family has brought out in her is out of this world!

Fi said one of her favourite moments each year is watching families see just how far their children have come.

“As leaders, we get to see that growth happen every week,” she said. “The showcase is a chance for parents, grandparents and friends to see it too.

“There is something really special about watching a child do something they didn’t think they could do.”
