KR HR & Training Consultancy is proud to announce its membership of the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse (EIDA), a leading business network that supports employers to take effective action against domestic abuse.
The announcement comes ahead of International Safe Places to Work Day on 27th July 2025 – a global reminder of the importance of psychological safety in the workplace, including the critical role employers play in supporting staff experiencing domestic abuse.
EIDA works with organisations to help implement effective internal policies, raise awareness, and provide access to up-to-date resources.
As local HR specialists dedicated to improving workplace culture, performance and wellbeing, KR HR & Training Consultancy is committed to raising awareness of the devastating impact of domestic abuse, supporting employees who may be affected, and encouraging other organisations to take proactive steps.
Kathryn Roynon, Director of KR HR & Training Consultancy, said:
“At KR HR & Training Consultancy, we are passionate about building psychologically safe, trauma-informed workplaces where people feel safe to speak up, seek help, and thrive.
“We are proud to join the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse. Psychological safety is about more than open communication—it’s also about being a safe haven for those in crisis. For some experiencing domestic abuse, the workplace may be their only place of refuge.
By joining EIDA and accessing their excellent guidance and resources, we can help ensure employers are better equipped to recognise the signs of abuse and respond with compassion, confidence, and care. This is not just a moral responsibility—it’s a business imperative. We are proud to be part of a growing network making a positive social impact.”
Susan Bright, CEO of the Employers’ Initiative on Domestic Abuse, added:
“We are delighted to welcome the KR HR & Training Consultancy team to our network. The important role that employers can play in tackling domestic abuse is clearer than ever. The commitment from organisations like KR HR & Training Consultancy helps us to achieve our vision: that every employer takes action on domestic abuse—supporting their people and inspiring others to do the same.”
Through increased awareness, resource sharing, and open dialogue, KR HR & Training Consultancy and EIDA are working together to drive meaningful change and create workplaces where safety, respect, and dignity come first.
As part of this commitment, KR HR & Training Consultancy has taken several steps to strengthen its provision for clients and employees, including making resources of national and local support available to download for free, and undertaking professional development. Director Kathryn Roynon recently qualified as an accredited trainer with VictimFocus, demonstrating a commitment to challenging abuse myths and embedding trauma-informed practice in workplace practices.
