Warminster’s new gift and homeware store opens on day of Christmas market and lights switch-on

New creative gift store Pixie and Pickle has opened at 20 Market Place, Warminster, on the day of the festive edition of Warminster Independent Market and the town’s Christmas lights switch-on.

Pixie and Pickle will occupy a prominent position in the town centre and promises to bring not only gifts but also workshops and creative fun to the high street. The store will also shine a spotlight on local artists and makers.

20 Market Place is one of three sites in the historic high street recently acquired by Bath-based property company HPH. “Pixie and Pickle is exactly what Warminster needs right now,” says Katie Holdoway, HPH’s Executive Director. “The town centre has seen several new openings, including two cafes, and we are excited to witness the creative energy Rachael and Chloe bring to the mix.”

Pixie and Pickle’s founders, Chloe and Rachael, know 20 Market Place well, as it was previously occupied by a shop called Serendipity, which inspired them when they were younger. However, the site has been empty for a long time, which makes it even more exciting to see new life returning to this beautiful listed building.

“We are so proud to be opening our shop in this gorgeous building,” says Chloe Lee, co-owner of Pixie and Pickle, “and we can’t wait to get started.”

The gift and homeware store will stock a wide range of regular items, as well as featuring a regular “Maker of the Month”, whose artworks will be on display. In the new year, Pixie and Pickle also plan to start hosting creative workshops.
