Paul Day, managing director of Filestream Ltd, takes on his next charitable deed by running the Landmark Half Marathon 2026 for child loss charity, Tommy’s.
The Landmark Half Marathon is an award-winning event organised by Tommy’s and will take place on Sunday 12th April 2026 covering London’s city centre in its 13.1 miles. Paul will be among the two thousand Tommy runners and has hopes of raising over £500.
This is not Paul’s first money-raising efforts with Tommy’s. In 2023, Paul joined forces with Tommy’s in the Skyscraper challenge, where candidates ran up the 42 floors of The Cheesegrater and then either abseiling 200 metres to the ground or taking a zipline to the neighbouring skyscraper, The Gherkin. Paul chose to run and then abseil. To do this he had to train and has lost almost five stones in the process.
“Following on from supporting Tommys in their Skyscraper challenge, I’m proud to be joining Team Tommy’s in the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2026 to support Tommy’s and continue their vital work to help make pregnancy and birth safe – for everyone,” said Paul.
Since taking on the skyscraper challenge, Paul has been an adamant fundraiser of Tommy’s and couldn’t wait to raise more for the pioneering research they do. Paul chose this charity in memory of his wonderful niece and her husband who lost their little boy Win and therefore, Paul felt compelled to do something in his memory.
“This charity means a great deal to me and to get to fly their flag next year is a huge honour,” Paul continued. “To be supported by my family, friends and work colleagues at Filestream has been invaluable. Everyone is incredibly support and generous when it comes to my fundraising missions and the Landmark Half Marathon looks to be no different.”
Tommy’s is a charity which funds research into miscarriage, stillbirth and premature birth, and provide pregnancy health information to parents. Tommy’s fight again the alarming statistic that one in four women lose a baby during pregnancy and birth and aim to create a future where every parent has the best possible pregnancy outcomes.
