Marathon-a-day charity trek will take Swindon estate agent all the way to Woolacombe

A Swindon estate agent is putting his best foot forward to help raise vital funds for Swindon’s homelessness charity Big Breakfast Plus.

Starting on Monday, August 24, Danny Hale, co-founder of Peach Estate Agents, is setting off from Swindon and walking all the way to Woolacombe, covering 250km over five days.

Accompanied by his friend Brad Looker, of security company ESS, Danny will follow a route that takes them through Bath, on to Minehead, then along the coastal path to Woolacombe.

The pair will cover more than a marathon every day for five days to raise money for the charity that serves breakfast every morning of the year from its base in Regent Circus.

“We like doing crazy things, like climbing Ben Nevis, Snowdon and the big mountains in the UK, and we’ve run marathons and ultramarathons,” said Danny.
“We’ve often been to Woolacombe with our families so we thought we’d walk there, meet the families and kids on the beach, and raise money at the same time.”

This is the second event Danny has organised to raise money for Big Breakfast Plus. In conjunction with In410 Running Club, of which Danny is a member, Peach Estate Agents hosted a raffle night that raised £600. He hopes the walk will top this up to more than £1,000.

Sophie Boyce, Charity Manager of Big Breakfast Plus, said: “We’re so grateful to Danny and Brad for taking on this fundraising challenge. All the money they raise goes directly to helping those in need in Swindon, by providing a fresh, cooked breakfast every day of the week.”
