Lawn Manor Academy celebrates strongest GCSE results in school’s history

Lawn Manor Academy is celebrating the strongest GCSE results in the school’s history. Headteacher Russell Langdown said: “Today, we are delighted to celebrate the achievements of our Year 11 pupils as they receive a set of GCSE results that are the strongest in the history of Lawn Manor Academy.

“We’re delighted that our Year 11s have achieved the highest number of the very highest grades this year, with pupils such as Nethumi with an impressive seven Grade 9s, who has ambitions to study medicine at Oxford University. Fellow pupil Gladys achieved two 9s in English Literature and RE, three 8s, two 7s and a 6. Gladys will be attending Swindon Academy to study RE, English Literature and History, with an aim to embark on a Solicitor Degree Apprenticeship.

“These outcomes reflect the hard work, commitment and ambition shown by our pupils throughout their time at the school. Across a wide range of subjects, pupils have achieved excellent results, with many securing top grades and demonstrating the breadth of talent that exists within our school community. From Further Mathematics to Bengali and Polish, pupils have excelled across an impressive range of qualifications.

“We are particularly proud that these results will open doors to exciting next steps for our young people, including places at sixth forms, colleges, apprenticeships and training programmes. While the grades themselves are worthy of celebration, they tell only part of the story. Behind every result is a pupil who has shown determination, resilience and a commitment to achieving their personal best.

“These excellent results are also a reflection of the dedication of our staff and the support of families. I would like to thank our teaching and support staff for their unwavering commitment to helping every pupil succeed. Their expertise, care and belief in our young people have played a vital role in these outstanding outcomes.

“Most importantly, I would like to congratulate our Year 11 pupils. They have embraced the values of the Lawn Manor Way by being ambitious, responsible and ready to learn, and they deserve every success that comes their way. We are incredibly proud of all they have achieved and look forward to seeing them continue to flourish in the next stage of their education and beyond.

“Congratulations, Year 11!”
