Over 2,000 fans pack the stands for Open Training

What a way to spend a Bank Holiday!

The energy was electric, the sun was shining, and the community came out in full force. A massive 2,200 of you joined us for the Bath Rugby Open Training session, turning the Dick Lovett fan village into the ultimate rugby celebration. From the second the gates opened, the atmosphere was bouncing with a brilliant mix of familiar faces and excited first-timers.

If you were there, thank you for bringing the noise. If you missed it, here is exactly what went down

Putting Skills to the Test: The Perfect Pass Challenge

Ever watched the pros throw a flawless 20-meter pass and thought, “I could do that”?

We put that confidence to the test with our Perfect Pass tyre challenge. It was fantastic watching fans of all ages step up to the mark, test their aim, and have a laugh.

Win or lose, nobody left empty-handed. We hope your new Dick Lovett rugby stress balls are already getting plenty of use!

A VIP View: Watching the Squad Train

Away from the family-fun games, the focus shifted to the pitch. Fans were treated to an incredibly rare experience of watching the squad put in the hard yards during a live training session. Getting to sit just meters away from the action offered a fascinating glimpse into the elite-level intensity, pinpoint communication, and sheer physicality that usually stays strictly behind closed doors. It wasn’t just a training session; it was an exclusive look at the blueprint of a professional rugby team at work, making every fan in the stands feel like a true part of the inner circle.

Touchdown from France: The First Team Arrives

The highlight of the afternoon? A surprise arrival.

Fresh from their European semi-final battle in France, the First Team stepped straight off the travel bus and into the fan village. Despite the heavy miles, the players spent hours chatting with the crowd, taking photos, and signing everything from match shirts and posters to a few of those newly won stress balls.

Seeing the connection between the squad and the community is what rugby is all about.

Relive the Day

With over 2,200 people in attendance, the cameras were rolling all afternoon, and we captured some incredible moments of the Blue, Black, and White family in action.

Head over to our Instagram and Facebook pages @dicklovettlandrover to check out the gallery.

A huge thank you goes out to every single person who came down to make this Bank Holiday so memorable.

Have a great rest of the season, and hopefully, we’ll see you all again next year!
