Wiltshire Museum Devizes SEND Relaxed Opening

Friday 30th October we will be offering a SEND Relaxed Opening between 10am – 1:30pm.

This is a new session we are trialling to assess how we can best support people and families with SEND to enjoy our museum.

The usual museum opening hours apply, however this session aims to help those with SEND feel welcome and comfortable in the museum, allowing them a space and time to be themselves, wherein they may usually shy away from these spaces because of their sensory needs.

We will have our lecture hall set up as a breakout space, with sensory items available. We have several sensory backpacks available for the session, which will include different items to help nurture the session and allow those visiting to feel more at ease.
