Wiltshire businesses invited to support Chippenham Pride

Wiltshire businesses are invited to demonstrate their commitment to equality and diversity by supporting one of the county’s biggest Pride events.

Chippenham Pride is due to take place on Saturday 15 June and is expected to attract thousands of people.

Renewable electricity company Good Energy has already been confirmed as one of the headline sponsors but there are still plenty of opportunities for other businesses to get involved.

The free festival will feature a colourful walk through the town centre together with ten hours of main stage entertainment in Monkton Park, as well as cabaret and education stages, a bar, and a wide range of stalls offering food and drinks.

The closing date for sponsors is Friday 29 March.

Chippenham Pride founder and co-chair Penny MacDivitt said: “Last year’s inaugural event smashed all expectations, so this year we’re expanding into Monkton Park so that we can provide a bigger spectacle for bigger crowds.

“Sponsorship provides a great opportunity for Wiltshire businesses to signal their support for equality, diversity and inclusion in all its forms, and to celebrate everyone in the community.”

Sponsorship packages include the main stages and marquees, the children’s entertainment area, VIP area and chill-out zone.

There are also opportunities for exhibition space in the main arena, together with logos on banners, flyers, posters, and the website. A limited number of retail pitches remain available.

Good Energy has been shortlisted for several awards in recognition of its positive culture, which includes a team of ‘Inclusion Champions’ volunteers.

Inclusion Champions co-chair Mair Horscroft said: “We’re excited to be involved in this year’s Chippenham Pride and hope our sponsorship will enable the organisers to put on a dazzling show.”
