Two Cricklade authors recently joined forces to promote their latest books at a combined Book Signing event at The Wild Fig café in Cricklade High Street.
Malcolm Brooks and Elisabeth ‘Bizzie’ White enlisted the help of Eric, Cricklade Town Crier to encourage potential buyers to pop in, meet the authors and buy a signed copy of their literary creations.
Malcolm (87) has lived in Cricklade for over 45 years with his wife Gill. His second murder mystery novel, ‘Murder on the London Underground’ has now been published almost exactly two years after his first successful novel, ‘The Mediterranean Mystery’.
Bizzie White, who has lived in Cricklade for four years, writes under the pen name of Lee Pennell, and her latest novel is called ‘Darkleigh’. It is a historical fiction set in 1815 in a small Cotswold valley. ‘Darkleigh’ is preceded by Bizzie’s first novel: ‘Midnight at Lucas Bay’ – an adventure story set in the Gower Peninsula.
All the books: ‘The Mediterranean Mystery’; ‘Murder on the London Underground’; ‘Midnight at Lucas Bay’ and ‘Darkleigh’ can be found on Amazon.
Alternatively, pop along to Faringdon Writers’ Book Fair in Faringdon’s Corn Exchange between 10am-3pm on Saturday 22nd November, where you can meet both authors and buy a copy of their books at a discounted price. Admission free.
