Securing silver: Janet Shreeve given Silver Award for Best New Business

Wiltshire entrepreneur Janet Shreeve has been announced as a silver award winner at the Best Business Women Award, the largest national ‘women in business’ awards in the UK.

Janet Shreeve, founder of Shreeve Care Services, started her care consultancy business at the age of 65 after more than 20 years’ experience within the care sector. Being a specialist in live-in care, her business has grown since starting it in 2022.

Silver and Gold winners of the Best Business Women Awards were announced at the Gala Awards Night at the Daventry Court Hotel, Daventry, on 11th October 2025.

Approaching Shreeve Care Service’s third anniversary, Janet received her silver award win and celebrated the honour alongside other finalists at the awards ceremony.

“To be a silver award winner for Best New Business at the Best Business Women Awards is an honour,” said Janet. “I’m incredibly proud to be amongst the calibre of businesswomen in my category. I love my business and to be recognised for my work since starting my business nearly three years ago drives me onwards.”

Shreeve Care Services supports care companies in a consultancy capacity around best practice and business growth, as well as providing a professional advisory service to families attempting to navigate the care system on behalf of loved ones.

The business has rapidly established itself as a trusted partner for local authorities, healthcare businesses, and care providers, offering a wide range of services from bid writing, business development to CQC (Care Quality Commission) assistance.

Janet, a care professional with a passion for making a difference in the care industry, founded Shreeve Care Services at a time when most people would be thinking about retirement. But Janet’s vision was clear – to use her extensive experience to support those in the care sector, ensuring they deliver the highest quality of care possible.

The Best Business Women Awards were established more than a decade ago to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across all industries. These awards celebrate the achievements of women who are not only building successful businesses but also breaking down barriers, creating impact, and inspiring others to follow.
