Mistermind event comes to Swindon this November

A one-day personal development event created exclusively for men will take place in Swindon this November, aligning with International Men’s Day (19 November), which focuses on men’s wellbeing and promoting positive conversations around masculinity.

John Lewis, accredited coach, NLP Master Practitioner and founder of JL Mindset Performance, will host the Mistermind event on Friday 14th November 2025. The event is designed to give men a safe and supportive space to focus on their personal and professional growth.

“In my work, I see how rarely men give themselves permission to stop and reflect,” said John. “This day is about creating that space, where men can take off all the ‘life hats’ they usually wear, reconnect with themselves, and leave with clarity, confidence, and a renewed sense of direction. I ran this event two years ago and the feedback was incredible – men told me they left feeling lighter, more positive, and far clearer about their next steps.”

Although John regularly works with both men and women through his coaching programmes, this event has been created specifically for men, offering the chance to explore personal development in a dedicated male-only environment.

The day will guide participants through exploring goals, beliefs and values, with practical tools to help overcome the internal barriers that hold many men back. The session also offers the chance to network with like-minded men, share experiences, and gain fresh perspectives in a judgement-free environment.

“This one is for the blokes,” John added. “Men need to be given the opportunity to walk the path of self-exploration, and that is the purpose of this day. There will be fun, laughter and maybe even tears along the way, but it will be a safe space to unpack emotions and explore solutions that bring more balance and fulfilment.”

The Mistermind event welcomes men from all backgrounds who are interested in self-development, improving their wellbeing, or simply taking a pause from busy lives to reset. Numbers are limited to ensure a supportive and personal environment, with a special guest also set to be announced closer to the date.

John Lewis is a Swindon-based accredited coach, NLP Master Practitioner and founder of JL Mindset Performance. Through his work with individuals, athletes, teams and businesses, John helps people unlock hidden potential, break down mental barriers, and build resilience. He has delivered coaching for clients ranging from Team GB Performing Arts champions to global companies including Intel and Specsavers.

Mistermind takes place on Friday 14th November 2025 at the Stanton House Hotel, The Avenue, Stanton Fitzwarren, Swindon SN6 7SD.
