Local IT entrepreneur named one of south west’s rising young business leaders

Bristol businessman Jason Small, co-founder of WestSpring IT, has been named in the 42 Under 42 Class of 2025 by South West Insider Media. The annual list identifies the brightest business talent in the region, celebrating the people who form the next generation of successful business leaders.

Now in its 18th year, the 42 Under 42 programme recognises young business leaders across the UK who are making a tangible impact in their industries and communities. Since its launch, more than 600 entrepreneurs have been inducted, creating a dynamic network of innovators throughout the South West.

Jason, 36, co-founded managed IT services provider WestSpring IT in 2016, driven by a vision to provide IT solutions that prioritise both client care and company culture. Based in Bristol, the firm has grown significantly under his leadership, achieving a turnover of nearly £5 million over the last 15 months, a rise of 33 per cent, and expanding to a team of 32.

WestSpring IT works with clients across the South West and beyond, delivering strategic managed IT solutions with service excellence at its core. Its clients include Halo Leisure, Circadian Trust, Method Consulting and Precision Resource Group.

The company has also received multiple accolades, including being shortlisted for Best Business in the South West 2025 at the South West Business and Community Awards and winning the Customer Loyalty Award at Lloyds’ British Business Excellence Awards.

Jason said “It’s an incredible honour to be included in the 42 Under 42 alongside so many inspiring entrepreneurs from across the South West. When I co-founded WestSpring IT, my goal was to build a business that delivers outstanding IT services while maintaining a culture that values our clients and our team. This recognition reflects the hard work, dedication, and passion that have gone into growing the company.”

Jason will be officially welcomed into the Class of 2025 at the 42 Under 42 event on Wednesday 15th October at Sixes Social Cricket in Bristol. The evening will bring together current and past inductees for relaxed networking, inspiring talks, and the chance to celebrate shared success.
