May Fishing Report by Bill Morris

Following on from Bill’s April fishing report his latest review and advice is below accompanied by some great views from the riverbank.  “Fishing has really taken off with the mayfly, despite continued low water levels. The top beat seems little fished and so far, l have caught the largest fish I have ever seen on that part of the river this week I have ever seen from the top of beat 1. The catch was nestled in a hole between branches overhanging the bankside.  “I would recommend using a heavier line that normal. My second tip this month is to mix up your mayflies and be patient. The fish are becoming a little slow to react with full stomachs from the hatch, so set aside some time to spend on the river to reap your reward. Good luck everyone and happy fishing.”  To read Bill Morris’ reviews please visit our website.
