Grooving for good! Charity holds Danceathon to raise funds for people affected by abuse

Southwest charity FearFree, is holding a 24-hour Danceathon to raise funds to help people affected by domestic abuse, sexual violence, and stalking.

The Danceathon will bring the Wiltshire dance community together as instructors and clubs host a range of fun sessions from Sit Fit to Zumba as well as an extra special children’s dance party.

Entry to the event is £5 per person or £10 per family and participants are encouraged to raise £50 as a group to help the charity’ in demand services.

Jess Gay, Head of Fundraising at FearLess said:

“Put on your dancing shoes and join us as we dance to make a difference! Our Danceathon is the perfect opportunity to have fun and raise money to help people live free from fear and abuse. Just pop in and join us for an hour or two, or if you fancy a challenge join us of the whole 24. Last year we received 14,000 referrals from adults and children who needed our support. By taking part in the Danceathon you’ll be helping us to keep providing our life changing services. Join us, have fun and dance to make a difference.”

The Danceathon will take place at Cumberwell Park Golf Club, Bradford on Avon, starting at 2pm on Friday 29th September and ending at 2pm Saturday 30th September.
