GEL Studios, a creative agency based in Swindon, is pleased to announce the four winners of its annual ‘Win a Creative Solution’ competition.
The competition, which launched in October, allows GEL Studios to continue giving back to the local community. Over the past few weeks, GEL Studios has received over 350 votes from the general public to help decide on our four winners.
With a budget of £5,000 each, the following four organisations will have the opportunity to work with our award-winning team on a creative solution of their choosing in 2024. This could be a brand-new website, marketing support or a graphic design project.
1st: Comfort U Bags – a charity that supports children going into foster care for the first time.
2nd: Willows Counselling Service – a safe space offering support for people feeling worried about anything affecting their mental health.
3rd: Swindon Pickleball Club – a warm and supportive community of Pickleball players.
4th: Swindon & District Talking Newspaper Association (STAN) – a charity that caters for the growing number of visually impaired and disabled people in the local community.
Here’s what our winners had to say:
Katie Hall, Trustee and Co-Chair of Comfort U Bags
‘We’re delighted to have the opportunity to work with GEL Studios to design a new website for our charity, Comfort U Bags! This will open up many new opportunities for us as a small charity, providing an engaging platform through which we can increase awareness of foster care in the UK – something we are truly passionate about!’
Denise Brent & Amanda Cook, Co-CEOs of Willows Counselling Service
‘We are over the moon to be voted as one of the winners of the GEL Studios ‘Win a Creative Solution’ competition for 2024. This type of support is invaluable for a charity like Willows and will be fundamental in raising our profile within the community, enabling us to reach people who are struggling with their mental health and continuing to provide them access to a quality counselling service.’
Bryan Saunders, Chairman of Swindon Pickleball Club
‘The Swindon Pickleball Club is thrilled to have been awarded a prestigious prize of £5,000 in media support by the fabulous GEL Studios. As a burgeoning club in the heart of Swindon, this exciting opportunity comes at a pivotal moment in our journey, providing a substantial boost to our efforts in establishing a professional online presence and elevating our club’s profile. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to GEL Studios for this incredible opportunity.’
Jacqueline Ann Wray, Volunteer Secretary of Swindon & District Talking Newspaper Association (STAN)
‘Swindon Talking Newspaper is absolutely thrilled to be one of the beneficiaries to receive support from GEL Studios. Our website desperately needs modernisation and with GELs creative input, it will be more professional and will help us reach more visually impaired people, as well as more volunteers to ensure its future.’
Graeme Leighfield, Managing Director of GEL Studios, expressed his thoughts on this year’s inspiring list of winners, saying:
‘GEL Studios is thrilled to be working with these amazing organisations in 2024.
The team are excited to help uplift and collaborate with these inspiring organisations who contribute so much to our local community. We are so grateful that we can become a part of their story and it is truly an honour to offer them a helping hand during such difficult times.’
