Filestream MD Paul Day to judge and sponsor the South West Business Community Awards

Latest news from Filestream

Paul Day, Managing Director of Berkshire-based Filestream Limited, has been announced as a judge for the South West Business & Community Awards, while his company Filestream are sponsoring.

The awards, launched in 2018 by The Great British Expos, celebrate the achievements, resilience, and innovation of businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and community leaders across the South West. They aim to recognise those who are making a significant and positive impact on their industries, the economy, and society.

“It’s a privilege to support the South West Business & Community Awards as a judge and sponsor,” Paul said. “These awards celebrate the best of what businesses and communities can achieve, and I’m looking forward to seeing the inspiring stories and contributions from the region’s entrepreneurs, charities, and organisations.”

This isn’t Paul’s first time as a judge. He brings valuable insight from years of experience in the industry and a keen understanding of the challenges businesses face today.

Paul has an impressive background in cybersecurity, document management, and GDPR. He has played a pivotal role in its transformation from a hardware supplier to a leading provider of document management software, working with renowned clients including Anglia Farmers, University of Hull, Carnival UK, and BNP Paribas.

Now in its eighth year, the South West Business & Community Awards has become a flagship event for the region, providing businesses, entrepreneurs, charities, and community groups with a platform to highlight their successes. This year’s awards feature categories for organisations of all shapes and sizes, from large companies and thriving start-ups to community groups and non-profits.

Alec Jones-Hall, Director of Great British Expos, said “We’re thrilled to have Paul and Filestream involved as sponsors and a judge. Filestream’s dedication to supporting businesses aligns perfectly with the values of the awards. Paul’s expertise and passion will be invaluable to the judging process, and we’re excited about the positive impact his involvement will bring.”

Each year, these awards attract over 1,000 nominations and are judged by an independent panel of industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and regional influencers. Categories include Business of the Year, New Start-ups, Innovators, Entrepreneurs, and Community Champions, alongside special recognitions like Charity of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

Winners of the South West Business & Community Awards will be announced Wednesday 12th March 2025 at The Doubletree by Hilton, Swindon.
