Female business owner honoured: Janet Shreeve, nominated for Best New Business

Wiltshire entrepreneur Janet Shreeve is in the running for a Best Businesswomen Award, the largest national ‘women in business’ awards in the UK.

Janet Shreeve, founder of Shreeve Care Services, started her care consultancy business after more than 20 years’ experience within the care sector. Being a specialist in live-in care, her business has grown exponentially since starting it in 2022. Approaching Shreeve Care Service’s third anniversary, Janet has been shortlisted as a finalist for Best New Business Award at the Best Businesswomen Awards 2025.

Shreeve Care Services supports care companies in a consultancy capacity around best practice and business growth, as well as families attempting to navigate the care system on behalf of loved ones.

The business has rapidly established itself as a trusted partner for local authorities, healthcare businesses, and care providers, offering a wide range of services from bid writing to CQC (Care Quality Commission)assistance.

“It’s an absolute pleasure to be nominated as a finalist for Best New Business at theBest Businesswoman Awards,” said Janet. “It’s an honour to be in the final round amongst the calibre of businesswomen in my category. I love my business and to be recognised for my work since starting my business nearly three years ago, is very humbling and drives me forward.”

Janet, a care professional with a passion for making a difference in the care industry, founded Shreeve Care Services at a time when most people would be thinking about retirement. But Janet’s vision was clear – to use her extensive experience to support those in the care sector, ensuring they deliver the highest quality of care possible.

The BestBusinesswomen Awards were established to recognise and celebrate the achievements of women across all industries. These awards celebrate the achievements of women who are not only building successful businesses but also breaking down barriers, creating impact, and inspiring others to follow.

Debbie Gilbert, founder of the Best Businesswomen Awards, acknowledged the achievement of beinga finalist in these awards.

“This is the 11th year of these awards, and once again, we’ve seen an incredible calibre of entries. Despite the mounting pressures faced by women in business, from funding gaps to rising costs to the mental load of balancing life and leadership, these finalists have shown that female entrepreneurship is stronger than ever. Our judging panel was truly impressed by the standard of entries, and we’re proud to shine a light on these trailblazing women.”

Winners will be announced at the Gala Awards Night at the Daventry Court Hotel, Daventry, on 10th October 2025. To learn more about Shreeve Care Services, visit: https://shreevecareservices.co.uk/
