Fairford Festival Book Fest set to be a best seller!

Not one, not two, but nine top authors are booked to feature at the Fairford Festival Book Fest in June.

Featuring well-known writers with a diverse choice of subjects, there’s plenty for book-lovers to enjoy and get excited about at Fairford Festival’s 2023 Book Fest.

Come and meet your favourite author; discover new ones; listen to the authors talk about their books; ask questions if you want to; learn about their inspiration for their books; buy their book or books and have them personally signed by the author! This is a great opportunity to interact with multiple well-known authors!

The 2023 Fairford Festival Book Fest is being held in the Literary Marquee in the grounds of Fairford Cricket Club GL7 4JJ and starts on:
Friday June 9

with children’s authors: Jo Empson at 4pm and Steve Antony at 5pm delighting their young audience with the wonderful stories, illustrations and characters in their top selling books. Children will also be able to enjoy a creative workshop and draw-along with the celebrated authors and illustrators.

The Book Fest continues on:
Saturday June 10

Starting at 9.45am with the Book Fest opening by pupils from Fairford Primary School reading short extracts from their favourite books. This is followed by:

10am Emma Reeves
Screen and stage script adaptions for My Mum Tracy Beaker and more!

11.15am Sandra Howard
Former Vogue model, journalist and fiction writer – Tell the Girl
12.30pm Anne de Courcy
Journalist and biographer – Lord Snowdon

Historian and writer about the real Dick Whittington
3pm Paul Martin
Antiques Expert and TV personality
4.15 Jessica Fellowes
Niece of Downton Abbey creator, Julian Fellowes and an expert on Downton herself

5.30pm Dom Joly
Comedian and travel writer – Such Miserable Weather
Interviewed by Steve Knibbs – Gloucestershire reporter for BBC Points West

Tickets normally cost:
£4 per child per author with adults free for the Friday Book Fest for children
£10 for an all-day pop-in and pop-out ticket for adults and children over 10 years

But for one week only – from midnight on 1st May till midnight on 8th May
There is a Coronation Special 25% discount on all online tickets
Tickets for the Friday Children’s Book Fest are £3 per child per author, an accompanying adult free
Tickets for the Saturday Book Fest are now £7.50 for adults and children over 10.
