Cotswold hotel launches wine and summer terrace

A boutique hotel near Cirencester is welcoming the British summer time with the launch of Whispering Angel Rosé and their new Summer Terrace.

The alfresco dining Summer Terrace at Wild Thyme & Honey – the Crown at Ampney Brook – is delightfully designed with covered seating framed by fabulous floral arrangements; has intimate, luxury glass dining domes for up to six people on the banks of the beautiful Ampney Brook and has its own outside bar.

At the launch on June 18, there was a delicious assortment of meat, fish, veggie and sweet courses for invited guests to sample whilst being softly entertained by ‘classy and sassy’ female violin and cello duo, Duo Rose.

Through their new collaboration with Whispering Angel Rosé, Wild Thyme & Honey can offer guests a fresh, crisp rosé from the award-winning Château d’Esclans vineyard in the heart of Provence.

Made from a blend of Grenache, Cinsault and Rolle grapes, Whispering Angel is pale in colour and dry to the taste with a smooth finish and is now available to wine lovers at Wild Thyme & Honey.

Future events at Wild Thyme & Honey in Ampney Crucis, near Cirencester include informal monthly Whispering Angel wine tastings over lunch hosted by ambassadors from the award-winning Château d’Esclans wine. The next tasting is on Saturday July 5 from 12 noon-3pm, then Saturday August 2 and Saturday September 6.
