Christmas Market and Light Trail Sparks the Beginning of the Festive Season

Town Centre inSwindon will take on a special kind of magic this Christmas offering locals and visitors an experience that will make wonderful memories to cherish for years.

Between 17th – 20th November, the Town Centre will be transformed into the perfect yuletide celebration including a traditional Cotswold’s Christmas Market by the Crossroads, a magical Light Trail, Santa’s Grotto, Stiltwalkers, and singing around a 43ft twinkling Christmas tree.

The Christmas Light Trail with wonderful illuminations and light projections will take you on a spectacular journey all around the Town Centre with characters and displays along the way, plus a handy trail map that’s given out on the day or can be found online.

Parents and children will have the opportunity to meet Santa and his elves in Santa’s Grotto in the Community Hub and given a gift and photo opportunity. Details of the free Grotto’s opening hours and booking system will be available nearer the time on our website and social media pages.

This enchanting day out creates the perfect atmosphere combining beautifully decorated stalls with handcrafted gifts, tasty food and drink accompanied by live music with choirs merrily singing carols around the Christmas Tree in The Parade, to raise money for local charities.
