Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

14 May – 23 July

Queen and Country exhibition at Chippenham Museum. Twin exhibitions with two different responses to the English Monarchy, marking both Queen Elizabeth II’s 70th anniversary as monarch and the 38th Anniversary of the start of the English Civil War. A large-scale civil war re-enactment will take place in the Town on 23-24 July. A special opening will take place on 4 June with the English Civil War Society. At the Museum. Free Entry

Monday 23 May

Happy Days Platinum Jubilee Show, Neeld, 2 pm. The spectacular show ‘Happy Days’ is a patriotic, uplifting, feel-good show, full of well-known songs that will touch your heart and make you smile.

30 May – 4 June

The ‘Joy of Community’ bunting, Yelde Hall. Decorated triangular flags are displayed as bunting. Created by local people in various mediums the flags are a personal and artistic response to what our community means. Free entry.

70 years- 70 faces, Photographic Portraits, Yelde Hall. Photographic Portraits of the Chippenham Community by Chippenham Museum Photo Club. Free entry.

Thursday 2 June

Jubilee Market, High Street
Trooping The Colour, Live stream in the Neeld, 10am – 12.25pm. Free entry.
The Mary Lou Revue Bandstand Cabaret, 2pm at John Coles Park – bring a picnic!

Friday 3 June

Jubilee Afternoon Tea with the Mayor, Neeld, 1pm – 3pm

Saturday 4 June

Civil War Re-enactors, High Street

Sunday 5 June

Bring a Picnic to John Coles Park, with Chippenham Hospital Radio, 11am – 5pm and Derek Nash Acoustic Jazz Quartet, 1pm – 3pm
