Celebrating one year in Fairford supporting the community

Chris Homer and his team at JPA Financial Planning are celebrating the first anniversary of opening their office in Fairford on June 21, 2024.

JPA Financial Planning was formerly based in Faringdon but can now be found at 27a London Street, Fairford – just a couple of doors away from Budgens and opposite the Plough Inn.

As an experienced financial adviser, Chris has been helping people and businesses with their financial planning for nearly 14 years. JPA Financial Planning is a real local family business run by Chris and his wife, Gemma along with other staff members comprising Gemma’s son, her aunt, a cousin and close friends of the husband-and-wife team.

JPA provide holistic financial advice on all aspects of finances. They don’t focus on just one area but explore all areas to ensure the advice the client is receiving is the most appropriate for them. Chris explained: “We like to make finances simple and easy to understand for our customers. We don’t want to put off anyone wanting or needing advice.”

Since moving the office to Fairford, Chris has been eager to get fully involved with the local community.

Soon after opening the Fairford office, Chris and Gemma organised a children’s summer-themed postcard colouring competition for children in three age groups with the winners receiving a book voucher. Following on from this, JPA invited children to enter another competition to win a jar full of mini-Easter eggs! All they had to do was pop into the London Street office and guess how many eggs were in the jar.

JPA Financial Planning has also sponsored the Festival Crew’s bright pink polo-shirts for Fairford Festival, and was a judge and sponsor for the 2025 Fairford Festival Dog Show.

Coming up in August is Fairford Steam Show and, of course, JPA is also supporting this big Fairford event and looking forward to coming along with his friends and family for the first time.

Also, in his first year of business in Fairford, Chris has teamed up with five other local business people to launch a new group called ‘Business Connect’ to encourage liaison and support between businesses and local community groups and clubs such as schools, sports clubs, local charities and good causes. “I think it is very important to support the local community to create a sense of belonging,” said Chris. “Local businesses, charities and community groups rely on this support to thrive and become stronger and more vibrant.”

To find out more about JPA Financial Planning or Business Connect, please phone 01285 440310 or call into the office when open: Monday to Friday from 9am-5pm.
