Allergy campaigner & entrepreneur Julianne Ponan MBE to speak at inaugural Media Training Summit

Latest news from Julianne Ponan MBE of Creative Nature

Award-winning entrepreneur Julianne Ponan MBE, founder and CEO of Creative Nature, will share her insights into business success at the first-ever No BS Media Summit, taking place in Swindon on 5th & 6th February.

Julianne will discuss her personal journey of growing a successful business while living with life-threatening allergies. She will also explain how her strategic use of PR has driven Creative Nature’s growth and helped the brand stand out in a competitive market.

Organised by PR expert and journalist Fiona Scott, the No BS Media Summit is a two-day event aimed at business owners, marketers, and charity leaders. It offers attendees the chance to connect with national journalists, enhance their media strategies, and learn from accomplished business leaders through practical workshops and networking. It’s now sold out and Julianne has worked with Fiona and her team for around a decade.

Reflecting on her involvement, Julianne said: “Fiona has been an integral part of my PR journey, and I’m thrilled to support The No BS Media Summit. I’m passionate about sharing my experiences of using PR to grow Creative Nature in a crowded industry. For me, this is about more than business – it’s about raising awareness for those living with allergies and showing that anything is possible.”

Julianne’s business journey began over a decade ago when she founded Creative Nature to tackle the challenges faced by people with severe allergies like her own. Creative Nature’s Top 14 Allergen-Free, vegan-friendly products are now available in major UK retailers, including Tesco, Sainsbury’s, and Morrisons, and in 16 countries worldwide. The brand is committed to sustainability, using eco-friendly packaging and avoiding palm oil.

In 2023, Julianne was awarded an MBE for services to business and the food industry, presented by The Princess Royal at Windsor Castle. Creative Nature’s achievements under her leadership include winning Micro Business of the Year 2024 at the International Trade Awards and a gold win at the Free From Food Christmas Awards 2024.

Fiona Scott, organiser of the event, said: “Julianne is a truly inspiring leader whose story highlights the power of PR when combined with purpose and determination. Her session will show delegates how to build their brands and leverage the media effectively. She’s proof that small businesses can achieve global recognition.”

The summit will feature masterclasses on personal branding, business storytelling, and media pitching, alongside opportunities to network with national journalists. Attendees can also take part in an exclusive VIP dinner for a more intimate networking experience.

Creative Nature is a pioneering brand in the free-from food industry, committed to providing high-quality, delicious, and safe food options for people with allergies and dietary restrictions.
