Allergy advocate to share travel tips for those living with anaphylaxis

Award-winning CEO of Creative Nature and passionate allergy campaigner, Julianne Ponan MBE, will be speaking at the Allergy & Free From Show at Olympia London next month.

Julianne will present a practical and inspiring talk titled ‘Travel hacks when you have anaphylaxis: How I safely eat and explore the world’.

Drawing on her personal experience living with multiple severe allergies, she will share how thorough preparation, smart packing, clear communication, and careful navigation of airports and airlines can help those with life-threatening allergies travel with confidence.

She’ll discuss researching allergy-friendly destinations, understanding airline policies, and having essential emergency contacts at the ready. Julianne will also explain the contents of her allergy-safe travel kit, including medications, safe snacks, and chef cards in several languages, emphasising the importance of carrying backups.

Julianne said: “Travelling the world with anaphylaxis is possible. It just takes preparation, planning, and the right tools. I’m so passionate about helping others feel confident to live life fully, even with allergies. I can’t wait to meet people at the show, share my favourite hacks, and hopefully inspire some new adventures!”

She’ll offer advice on confidently communicating allergies in restaurants and hotels abroad, even where language barriers exist, and share tips on handling airline staff and securing allergen-free meals during flights.

Alongside her talk, Julianne will join Marc Warde from Foodcase for a live cooking demo, showcasing how to create allergen-friendly “Fakeaway” desserts at home using Creative Nature’s baking mixes.

The Allergy & Free From Show takes place at Olympia London on the weekend of June 21st and 22nd and is the UK’s premier event for people living with allergies, coeliac disease, food intolerances and related conditions.

This year’s event is expected to attract around 15,000 visitors, bringing together hundreds of free-from food, drink, lifestyle products and expert advice, all under one roof.

Creative Nature will also be exhibiting at the show, where visitors can sample their full range of top-14 allergen-free products – including the popular Berry Blend Bar, served on multiple international airlines, and their new Berry & Beetroot Oatie Snack Bar, Creative Nature’s first snack created specifically for children.
