A New Year donation for Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Services from Wrag Barn

Under blue skies and brilliant sunshine, Wrag Barn’s Lady Captain Margo Campbell was proud to present a cheque to Charlotte Gibbon from Swindon Domestic Abuse Support Services for the sum of £3,000.00.

Margo has been an inspirational Captain throughout her year and has encouraged the ladies to dress up in tutus, tiaras and Christmas jumpers while playing golf, having fun and making donations to her charity. Every charity is worthwhile, but Margo wanted to support a local organisation to see how the money raised would be used.

There is a well know quote which states that ‘the value of money isn’t what it can buy, but how many it can help’ and Charlotte’s comment as she took the cheque was that this money will make a difference to so many people.

Donations won’t end now that the cheque has been presented, the Survivor Shop in Swindon is run by a team of dedicated volunteers and will accept donations of good quality items to sell in aid of the charity and no doubt Wrag Barn Ladies will continue to contribute in the future.
