A new team behind Royal Wootton Bassett’s Quercus Bistro

Quercus, the bistro which is part of the RWB Auction premises in Royal Wootton Bassett is re-opening its doors this week thanks to a partnership with The Relish Group.

Quercus will open its doors again on Friday 16th May ahead of the town’s carnival weekend.

Quercus Bistro is linked to RWB Auctions, Britannia Coin Company and Gold Traders UK – all based in Royal Wootton Bassett. Local entrepreneur and founder of RWB Auctions, Jon White, said:

“I’m delighted to have the Relish Group take control of Quercus. Their knowledge and success within the hospitality sector are exactly what I was looking for and I’m confident that Quercus Bistro will become a firm favourite for a relaxed drink and quality dining experience.”

The Relish Group are a full-scale catering company and hospitality consultancy business and the team manage a unique collection of pubs, cafes, restaurants and bars that span the Cotswolds and beyond. They already run other well known outlets including The Broome Manor, The Baker’s Arms, and Sally Pussey’s Inn.

Rob Bayly and Abbie Erauw will be leading the charge on the ground for Quercus. Familiar faces to many in the area, Rob and Abbie have played key roles in the Cotswold food scene for nearly a decade.

“We’re so excited to open the doors just ahead of Carnival weekend,” says Rob Bayly. “There’s such a strong sense of community in Royal Wootton Bassett, and we want Quercus to be right at the heart of it – serving good food, in good company.”

The Relish Group are known for revitalising venues while honouring their roots. They will continue Quercus’s legacy as a welcoming neighbourhood restaurant by adding new season menus and a fresh take on modern British dining.
